Domestic bookings are up 4% and international bookings are up 44%.
Road Trips Continue to be Most Robust Form of Travel
AAA Travel projects 34.7 million Americans will journey 50 miles or more from home during the Labor Day holiday weekend, the highest volume for the holiday since 2008 and a 1.3 percent increase over 2013.
Booking data from Expedia.com shows that Labor Day weekend 2014 should see a considerable increase in travelers booking air tickets, hotel room and rental cars compared to Labor Day weekend 2013.
