Bent Inn Las Vegas, a 33-room boutique hotel, is slated to begin taking reservations in summer of 2023. Bent Inn is the only gay/locally owned and operated boutique hotel and gastropub in resurgent downtown Las Vegas.
Bent Inn was developed by parent company, Escape Resorts, Inc., which is owned and operated by longtime hoteliers Mark Hunter and Greg Kafka. The partners, who are also married, previously owned and operated two well-known gay men's resorts, Escape Resort and Desert Paradise, in Palm Springs, CA.
Located off the beaten Strip, and steps from the Fremont Street Experience, the partners note that Bent Inn is the ideal destination for bold originalists who want to get into the local scene or immerse themselves in a visually audacious environment.
"We designed Bent Inn to be ally and straight friendly but still true to the LGBTQ+ community. There are many resorts which claim to be gay-friendly, but sometimes that is just not enough." notes Mark Hunter, chief escape officer. "We want Bent Inn to be a playfully welcoming place where unforgettable experiences and connections are formed. Community is very important to us, and we have been fortunate to be able to cultivate that at our previous resorts."
"Everyone needs a place where they are free to be themselves. And that's Bent Inn," says Kafka, who serves as Bent Inn's chief experience officer.
"We've been blown away by how supportive and understanding people have been. It's been a challenge to get Bent Inn underway during the pandemic and subsequent resource shortage," says Hunter.
To show their appreciation to guests of their previous resorts and the LGBTQ community for their support, Kafka and Hunter created a slate of generously discounted presale opportunities that include food and beverage discount packages, and full resort packages which include food and beverage discounts. The presale initiative, which launched May 9, 2023, is already 49% sold out and will run until May 29th.
Every package offers discounts of up to 200% in the form of a credit or tab. Those who become a Founding Supporter (by purchasing of any of the above packages), will receive a one-of-a-kind Bent Coin. The Coins can be used to redeem a credit or tab based on the type of package as well as ongoing future food and/or beverage discounts.
The Bent Inn gastropub, with seating for 50 inside and seasonal outdoor dining, will offer a Bent perspective to traditional gastropub fare, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner with an expanded shareables menu.
The hotel was originally developed as a small hotel in 1965 called the Moonlight Motel, then transitioned into an apartment complex. The property has been reimagined with a "mid-century meets industrial architecture style" and artistic features throughout vary from wall murals to bespoke posters of gay pulp fiction inspired by the '50's-'60's (and offering an attitude of flamboyant mischievousness).
