Peachtree Hospitality Management announced the appointment of Kathleen "Kat" James to vice president of sales, responsible for managing and overseeing the sales strategies that support the overall profitability and growth of PHM's portfolio of hotels. She will report to Vickie Callahan, PHM's senior vice president of revenue generation.
"We are thrilled to have Kat join our organization," said Callahan. "Her depth and breadth of sales experience make her the ideal leader as we further expand our growing footprint. Kat will play an integral role in executing our sales initiatives and evolving our revenue strategies.
James, an experienced hotelier with over 20 years in the hospitality industry, has direct experience overseeing sales and marketing for national hotel brands and management companies. Before joining Peachtree, James was senior director of sales and head of focused service sales for Sonesta International Hotels. She also held leadership positions with Starwood Hotels & Reports, InterContinental Hotels Group and LodgeWorks.
A division of Peachtree Group, PHM operates premium-branded, limited-, select- and compact full-service hotels primarily in the upper-midscale and upscale segments. Today, the company manages 95 hotels across 28 brands with 11,574 rooms in 22 states.
"Her experience managing over 250 hotels is a perfect fit for us as we march toward more than 100 hotels across the country, and Kat will play a pivotal role as we transition in newly developed, acquired and third-party managed hotels," said Patrick Short, PHM’s president.
