Hyatt Hotels Corporation (NYSE: H) and Mr & Mrs Smith today announced an agreement for a Hyatt affiliate to acquire London-based Mr & Mrs Smith, a platform offering direct booking access to a carefully curated and growing collection of over 1,500 boutique and luxury properties.
The announcement is supported by signed letters of interest in development agreements from multiple developers for more than 100 Hyatt Studios hotels, with construction expected to begin in 2023 and the first hotel expected to open in 2024.

Coming in spring 2023, will be a new capital-city hub for business and leisure travelers – and notable planned openings in 2024 include Park Hyatt Los Cabos at Cabo del Sol, which will mark the first Park Hyatt hotel in Mexico and Grand Hyatt Cancún Beach Resort, a luxurious destination on the Yucatán Peninsula.
Mr. Benton brings over 23 years of hospitality experience to his new role as general manager having previously served as the general manager at the Hilton Fort Collins.
Gonçalves brings more than two decades of experience to Hyatt's development team, most recently overseeing the direct execution of several high-profile management and franchise agreements for InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Hyatt Hotels Corporation (NYSE:H) today announced a multi-property collaboration with Be Live Hotels that will include the growth of the Sunscape Resorts & Spas brand in the Caribbean.
