Scandic Hotels has signed a long-term lease agreement with property company Klövern for a new hotel in central Örebro. The new hotel , which will be called Scandic Örebro Station, will be built close to Örebro Central Station and is expected to open in 2021.
Scandic has signed an agreement to establish a new hotel in Kiruna’s new city center. The hotel property will be owned by Swedish mining company LKAB and built by Skanska. The new hotel will be Kiruna’s largest, with 230 rooms, a restaurant and Kiruna’s first sky bar. The project is expected to be finished at the end of 2021.

Scandic announced its fifth unique signature hotel – Downtown Camper by Scandic. The hotel will open in the former Scandic Sergel Plaza at Brunkeberg square in the heart of Stockholm. The building is currently undergoing a complete rejuvenation to reopen after the summer of 2017.
The 100 year old building will see a full renovation led by the acclaimed architectural studio Wingårdhs and an 17-room extension to a total of 169 keys - funded through a joint investment of MSEK150 by Rezidor and the owner.
