Columbia Sussex, owner, developer and operator of more than 60 hotels around the world, acquired three Marriott properties for $60 million, announced President William Yung.

The purchase includes the Marriott Oklahoma City, Marriott Williamsburg, Va., and Marriott Jacksonville, Fla. Columbia Sussex is one of the nation's largest franchisers of Marriott hotels.
Yung said, "We have forged a very successful relationship with Marriott Hotels and Resorts, owning 30 properties around the country, including the upscale Le Merigot Beach Hotel & Spa, a JW Marriott, in Santa Monica, Calif. We look forward to embarking on extensive renovations at each property to maintain and enhance the Marriott brand attributes that have made it one of the most successful hotel companies in the world."

The Marriott Oklahoma City is located in suburban Oklahoma City and offers 354 guest rooms on 15 floors, 15,000 square feet of meeting space in 11 meeting rooms, two restaurants and a lounge. The Room that Works, specially designed for business travelers, is offered in 349 of the guest rooms. Nearby attractions include the Oklahoma City Museum of Art, Oklahoma City Zoo and the State Capital.

The Marriott Williamsburg, Va., is located adjacent to Busch Gardens and three miles from Colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown and Yorktown, Va., historical sites. More than 13 golf courses are in the property's immediate vicinity. The hotel features 295 guest rooms and 14 suites, 42,000 square feet of meeting space in 40 meeting rooms in the largest conference center in the area. Columbia Sussex owns and operates two hotels in the Richmond area, including the Holiday Inn Richmond and the Richmond Marriott West.

The Jacksonville Marriott in Florida is located eight miles south of downtown and features 356 guest rooms and five suites, including The Room that Works in 77 of the rooms. Nearly 14,000 square feet of meeting space is offered in 13 meeting rooms. A restaurant, lounge, indoor and outdoor pool, jacuzzi and sauna round out the offerings. For those who want to explore the area, cultural attractions abound, as well as famous beaches and great shopping.
