Gold Coast’s Sheraton Grand Mirage Resort Sold For AUD192 Million

Australia-based Star Entertainment Group’s and Hong Kong-listed Far East Consortium’s Sheraton Grand Mirage Resort, was sold to the Karedis and Laundy families for AUD192 million. The 295-room resort is located in Gold Coast, Australia, and occupies 3.45 hectares of leasehold land, along with 215 metres of beachfront. The sale of the resort is subject to the buyer obtaining approval to the transfer of the liquor license from the Queensland office of Liquor and Gaming Regulation.

Brighton’s Savoy Hotel Sold To Melbourne-Based Primeland

The site of Savoy Hotel has been sold to Melbourne-based developer Primeland, with plans for a $120 million luxury development. The 3,400 square metres site is located in 150 Esplanade, Brighton, Australia, and the 60-key hotel features an events facility, along with a two-level basement car park with a capacity of 80 cars. Primeland has announced plans to develop the site into two and three-bedroom penthouse sized residences, with unobstructed views, private penthouse rooftop gardens, and a separate collection of luxury townhouses to the rear of the site. It is expected that the prices of the new residences would range approximately between $5 million to $20 million, with the penthouse being approximately 600 square metres.

Edition’s First South-East Asia Hotel

US-based Edition has announced the debut of their first South-east Asia hotel in Singapore. Slated to open in October 2023, the 204-key hotel will be located in the bustling Orchard district. The hotel will also feature five restaurant and bar venues, a rooftop pool, spa, fitness centre, along with 600 square metres of indoor and outdoor meeting spaces for events. The hotel is said to integrate greenery and outdoor spaces as part of its design elements. Regarding its sustainability efforts, the hotel will have its personal water harvesting plant to support botanicals throughout the building.
