Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) today announced the signing of a Vivanta-branded hotel in Guwahati, Assam. The greenfield project is slated to open by 2026.
Ms. Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President - Real Estate & Development, IHCL, said, “Vivanta Guwahati will be IHCL’s fourth hotel in Guwahati. This signing reinforces our commitment to the region. The city, also known as the gateway to the North -East is a major hub for economic activities as well as tourism. We are delighted to partner with Asian Medical and Research Pvt. Ltd.”
The 150 key hotel is strategically situated in close proximity to important commercial centers and to Dispur, the capital of Assam. In addition to the rooms, the hotel will have Mynt, Vivanta’s signature all-day-diner, the bar, and recreational facilities including a swimming pool and a fitness center. It will offer over 4,000 sq.ft. of banqueting and meeting spaces.

Guwahati, situated on the banks of the Brahmaputra River, is the largest city in Assam. As a major tea manufacturing and processing center, the city is also famous for ancient temples including Kamakhya.
With the addition of this hotel, IHCL will have four hotels in Assam including two under development.
