Staycity acquires long leasehold interest for future Staycity Aparthotel in east London
Staycity Group has acquired the long leasehold of a Stratford site in east London from a private seller. The freehold of the site is owned by shopping centre conglomerate Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield. The site will be the home of the future development of a 240-key Staycity Aparthotel, set to open in the second part of 2026. The project's total investment will amount to some £40 million, including the acquisition cost of the long leasehold interest and construction costs. The aparthotel will feature studio and one-bed apartments, as well as co-working spaces, a gym, cafe and bar, lounge, laundry area and shop. HVS Hodges Ward Elliott advised on this transaction.

RIMC acquires the former 30 James Street Hotel in Liverpool, UK
Hamburg-based hotel company RIMC Hotels & Resorts has acquired the four star, 63-room former 30 James Street Hotel, located in Liverpool's city centre, for an undisclosed sum, from administrators Moorfields Advisory. The developer of the hotel, Signature Living, opened the hotel in 2014, and went into administration in April 2020. The hotel came to market in October 2021 for £12.5 million. The Grade II-listed building includes conference and banqueting facilities, a spa and swimming pool. Built in 1896, the building was once home to the White Star Shipping Line headquarters, the owner of the RMS Titanic. The new owners are set to invest significantly in the hotel's renovation.

Atream acquires the Hameau des Baux hotel in Provence, France
French private equity firm Atream, through its subsidiary Atream Euro Hospitality, has acquired the five star, 21-room Hameau des Baux hotel in the Alpilles Natural Park, east of Arles in France. This acquisition marks Atream's inaugural partnership with hotel operator Beyond Places in developing the new Les Petites Maisons brand. The boutique hotel has two restaurants on its premises, and the luxury hotel concept under Les Petites Maisons will centre on art and sustainability. There are ten Les Petites Maisons-branded hotels set to open over the next few years, with three in the immediate pipeline.

Private international buyer acquires the Manor Hotel in London
The two-star 28-room Manor Hotel, housed in a four-storey terraced townhouse in West London's Earls Court area, has reportedly been acquired for £6 million (£214,000 per room). Both the seller and international buyer have not been disclosed. The hotel includes four on-site parking spaces.
