Hilton (NYSE: HLT) today announced the signing of an agreement to open Canopy by Hilton Tangier Bay. Expected to open in 2026, the hotel will mark the introduction of Hiltons brand, Canopy by Hilton to the city of Tangier.

The signing of Canopy by Hilton Tangier Bay reinforces our commitment to expanding Hiltons portfolio in Morocco, where we plan to double our presence in the coming years.
Canopy by Hilton Tangier Bay will feature 110 guest rooms and suites with distinct design flair and personality. The hotel will be home to three dining venues, including a Canopy Central concept which will act as the social hub of the hotel. The property will also feature amenities such as an indoor and outdoor swimming pool, spa, fitness center and flexible meeting and event spaces for small gatherings or grand celebrations.
Located between the Mediterranean and Atlantic coasts, Tangier is one of the largest centers for industry in Morocco and features incredible cultural attractions such as the charming Grand Socco Medina, the Kasbah Museum - which is housed in a former palace - and the legendary Caves of Hercules. Next door to the new hotel is the Mirador Ghandouri, a well-known sunset viewing point.
The property will be located three kilometers from the Tangier city center, four kilometers from the railway station and approximately 20 kilometers from Ibn Battuta International Airport.
Hilton currently operates six hotels in destinations across Morocco Conrad Rabat Arzana, Hilton Taghazout Bay Beach Resort & Spa, Hilton Tanger City Center Hotel & Residences, Hilton Tangier Al Houara Resort & Spa, Hilton Garden Inn Tanger City Centre, and Hilton Garden Inn Casablanca Sud, with another six properties under development.
