t’s a brand-new year, and with it, a shiny new release of the Oracle Hospitality Integration Platform! We’ve been busy listening to feedback from our partner community and our customers, and the OHIP team is already delivering on our new year’s resolution to start the year with an amazing first release, packed full of features. Here’s what’s new in OHIP 23.1.
API Documentation has a Fresh Look
We’re replacing our API documentation tool with a more powerful, modern option which ensures we can continue to deliver on our users’ needs with new features which offer a clearer view of our enhanced API specs, better performance on loading, and the ability to search within the embedded documentation.
More Assistance on Complex Use Cases
Navigate to the new “Business Use Cases” page in the developer portal to search for your use case and find the help and tips you need to get started. The page includes help on Blocks, Business Events and Streaming, Nor1 Upsell, Payments, Property Interfaces and RMS, with more articles coming soon!
The new Business Use Cases page in the developer portal is a great place to get started on your OHIP journey
New Category of APIs: Nor1 Upgrade
Nor1 Upsell APIs can now be consumed through OHIP to promote and confirm room upgrade offers to a hotel guest prior to arrival, enabling developer portal users who have been granted access to:
- Promote confirmed upsell offers prior to arrival within any guest experience solution. Based on Nor1's applied artificial intelligence and OPERA real-time inventory, the Upsell APIs present personalized room upgrade offers that have the highest probability of conversion
- Instantly confirm the upgrade to the guest and simultaneously update Nor1 and OPERA Cloud
Additional API Capabilities
- Several enhancements to Distribution APIs, including a new Property Availability Calendar operation
- Property Cashiering API is enhanced to enable many useful additional cashiering capabilities
- Property OPERA Cloud Content API has been enhanced with several additional capabilities, such as uploading and retrieving images and file attachments
- OPERA Cloud Exchange (OXI) Configuration APIs are now available as Restricted APIs within the developer portal. Customers can get approval to access, configure and manage their OXI Interfaces using the APIs.
We hope you are as excited as we are about OHIP 23.1! We are looking forward to our 2023 releases and some new great features we are working on, including the ability to add filters and conditions to events when configuring the OHIP Streaming API, many new APIs, and more developer portal features that have been requested by customers and partners.
