Homewood Suites by Hilton announced last week the opening of Homewood Suites by Hilton Tuscaloosa Downtown. This is the first Homewood Suites by Hilton property to open in the Tuscaloosa, Alabama, area and the second hotel in the Vista Host Hotel Management and Cohen Investments portfolio in Tuscaloosa.

Homewood Suites by Hilton Tuscaloosa Downtown is located at 2451 Jack Warner Parkway West, in the heart of downtown Tuscaloosa, with the University of Alabama just a few miles away. The six-story, 114-suite hotel was built by Harrison Construction, and was developed and is owned by Cohen Investments. 

Cody Duffey, who serves as general manager of the hotel, began his career with Vista Host Hotel Management four years ago, starting in the Manager in Training (MIT) Program and most recently served as the general manager of the Home2 Suites Tuscaloosa Downtown.

The hotel features multiple sought-after amenities, including our on-property restaurant and bar, The 205, located on the top floor of the hotel which is expected to open in early April.”

Homewood Suites by Hilton Tuscaloosa Downtown offers a unique approach to longer stays, allowing guests to stay in their routine while traveling for business or leisure. The property’s spacious one- and two-bedroom suites boast fully equipped kitchens which include a full-sized refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, stovetop, cookware and a place setting for four so that guests can cook home-like meals without leaving their suite. The hotel features complimentary Wi-Fi, inviting communal spaces, a 24-hour Suite Shop convenience store and guest laundry. A complimentary evening social offered Monday through Thursday includes free beer and wine as well as small plates of food.

A complimentary full hot breakfast is available in The Lodge daily and includes an assortment of fresh breakfast items prepared daily, from hot meals to quick grab-and-go snacks. The hotel will also feature The 205, a rooftop restaurant and bar that will be open to hotel guests, locals and visitors. The restaurant will overlook Jack Warner Parkway and the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater.
